Ah, Amber is right, I really should leave the jokes to others. This is Count Topaz, your brother in House Beaumayn. I'm new to the dubiously wonderful world of computers, but thanks to a Dougal friend, started to at least get the basics. Later I got in contact with my fellow Count Brendan. He's helped me out even more. I've read the script, traded E-Mail, that sort of thing, but when I noticed how sketchy some of the information he gave out was, I offered to help out. I'm no academic (That's more Amber's line) normally, but I do study Houses.
You see, my sister and I baffled the local hold when we arrived, they couldn't quite place us, and it was too soon for the Saining. I went a little nuts, and started to learn all I could about the various Noble Houses but the name Beaumayn never came up (@#$$ Caul of Silence) so I just kept looking. While no expert, I believe I can give you some more details than you've been provided. I have my own opinions on the other Seelie Houses, and likely other Beaumayn will form theirs on the Unseelie despite what I say here.
Ailil- Count Brendan called them serpents, it fits. This House believes the ends justify the means. I have seen entire holds butchered by their catspaws. Commoners have died in painful torture merely because they caused an Ailil to lose 'Face'. That said, there are some few heroes among this batch of villains; but they seem so skillfully trapped in their House's machinations, it doesn't take a prophet to see the strings of shadow pulling even the best of the dragons this way and that. I fully expect when they learn of our arrival, if they tear away the caul, they'll start a smear campaign. Politics, half-truths, intrigues, these are the swords and armor of the Ailil.
Balor- If it were up to me, I would rank the Balor right up there with the Thallian, and treat them accordingly. They are twisted, sick, mockeries of true sidhe. Their skill as 'Warriors' relies mostly on using soul bane metal, and unlike the misguided Harbringers, they know it brings soul death. They delight in it. There is no salvation for this House. As we pull the caul from the eyes of our allies the Fiona, we increasingly warn them not to let the Balor 'Guard' their trods. The Gwydions didn't trust them anyways, and if we can sway the other Houses, the Children of the Purple Star might yet thwart the spawn of the Red Eye.
Daireann-We've begun to learn a lot about this House actually. In fact, at this rate, we may soon have more on them than we do any other House besides our own. They love to talk. They rattle on about Honor, but are an unseelie House. I think it's more a 'pride' sort of honor, and that's the most dangerous kind if not tempered, so watch out. Amber is smarter than I am (Don't tell her I said that), and she just can't see how the Shadow Court and the Daireann could mesh, save as the latter being used as catspaws, and even then, if they found out. Well, it's a House of Vengeance. The point is, they just aren't built for secrecy. I don't think they like us, but rather than out right contempt, some few Daireann seem a bit spooked by us. I wouldn't count on rolling your eyes and pronouncing some vague doom upon them as succeeding in intimidating them. They also despise House Fiona, and treat the Liam poorly. I expect we're going to clash on that alone; House Beaumayn has few friends, but we're loyal to them.
Leanhaun- Pure charm, and they seem Harmless. Other Beaumayn know this House better than I. They speak of an ancient Curse that is laid upon the Leanhaun, trapping them in evil. I suppose they mean the odd aging, and the rumored mad Ravaging? I'll really have to ask more. Two things worry me about this House. One, they ARE part of the Court of Shadows, at least most seem to be, so 'trapped' or not, they're probably out for us. Secondly, when I asked other Beaumayn about any prophecies they'd received about the future of the Leanhaun, some insight into their plans. Many turned pale, others confessed to being so overwhelmed as getting nothing.. and.. one House Brother, who is currently being cared for in a small hold in France, is said to have gone mad from what he saw. He lays in a corner, and sometimes screams out in the middle of the night "The Ritual, Wrong.. all Gone Wrong!". Then he breaks down sobbing. I don't understand at all. I didn't think the Leanhaun were known for magics.
Varich-Even after meeting one, I know little but some old books I've studied indicate we once had dealings with the House of the Sun. There's something about them being masters of the spirits of the land in there too. Other Beaumayn who have met them say they can be as cold as the lands that spawned their legends. I am inclined to agree.
